Basically, it's the result of veins, usually in the left testicle, that have damaged valves and have the form of a varicose vein (hence the name). I have had one for over 50 years with no problems whatsoever, however, I would suggest that you always maintain a healthy diet to preserve the quality of your vascular system and prevent over enlargement of the problem. Look after your health and you should be fine.
