It's not bad at all. (just don't watch a video of it or look at pictures :) You will just a get small incision in the groin and that's what hurts the most. Things like sitting up or just using your stomach muscles is painful for a while. I had very slight testicular pain, and just a little swelling. Around the incision felt a little numb or strange for a while, but that went away. I thought that surgery was well worth it because I was experiencing a dull ache on a regular basis.
