print these concerns and questions and have the urologist answer them BEFORE the procedure.I would say go for the surgery, but I'm not a doctor. My husband's wasn't found until it was too late and we had to do IVF to conceive. My understanding is it is usually a degenerative process that will get worse over time. Ask the doctor about future fertility.
