seizure can it cause male infertility?
What do you mean by 'seizure'?? Are we talking epilepsy? As far as I know, seizures have no bearing upon male, or female at that, fertility.
I think that if you are concerned you both need to go and have fertility tests, so you can rule out who, if any one is infertile.
Good lucklet him bust inside you and see if you get pregnant and then you will knowYou cud try research this on medical sites, but seizures in infancy fairly common , and i doubt if affect fertility.
Are you sure he is infertile ? i mean had a sperm count done ??? A childhood illness like mumps cud do this.
More commonly lousy sex technique.
What age was he when he started.does accutane/roaccutane cause male infertility and impotence?
I'm on Accutane, and I have the booklet which doesn't say anything about that. It usually only affects women when they are pregnant, you should have nothing to worry about. If you are scared, talk to your doctor about all the possible side effects.No.
Male Infertility Causes
Article by Dave Arnoldi
Male infertility accounts for between forty and fifty percent of the cases of infertility in humans. The male infertility causes are numerous, and can be linked to either physical or psychological origins. It is described as the inability to achieve pregnancy in a fertile female.
The physical causes are normally related to semen and/or testes function and the lack thereof, and the quality of the semen is often used as a means of discerning the fertility of a male.
Pre-testicular Causes are factors that render the male body unable to provide adequate support to the testes and include poor health or poor hormonal support. These include:* Genetic abnormalities such as those caused by Robertsonian Translocation which is a form of chromosome rearrangement.* Addictive substances such as alcohol, illegal drugs and nicotine all decrease fertility in both men and women by as much as fifty percent.* Decreased functionality of the gonads or testicles, known medically as hypogonadism. As the testicles are responsible for the production of the semen, this condition often results in little or no semen being produced.* Certain medications, especially those used to treat epilepsy and heart problems.* Certain physical activities such as bike or horse riding.
Testicular Causes refer to situations where the testes do function normally, yet produce semen that is of low quality and quantity. These factors can include:* Diseases such as mumps can cause testicular atrophy should the testes become infected and in some rare cases cause sterility.* Trauma to the testes caused by an accident or previous surgical procedure.* Testicular cancer.* The age of the male* An abnormal set of chromosomes such as those presented by Klinefelter Syndrome.
Post-testicular Causes decrease male fertility due to problems that occur after the production of the semen and during the process of ejaculation.* Erectile Dysfunction or the inability to gain or to sustain an erection for normal sexual activity.* Retrograde Ejaculation which occurs when the semen is redirected to the bladder.* An obstruction in the ejaculatory duct.* A previous infection in the pelvic area, such as prostatitis which is an inflammation of the prostate gland.
The vast majority of these causes of male infertility can be cured using medical techniques. If you and your partner have been struggling to conceive, it is recommended that you both visit a medical practitioner to establish the causes and the treatment thereof.
