Varicocele..please help..?
OK, so I'll admit I had to look that one up.
What you have is essentially the same as vericose veins that you'd tend to see on old people's legs. The only difference is the location of those veins. It has no direct effect on fertility, but if taking a fertility test is something you want to do, then go for it to put your mind at ease.
Given that you've been properly evaluated by your doctor and they've ordered all the right tests, I'd say that you're in good hands. It's, for now, just something that you should be aware of [done] and should have cheked up upon periodically throughout your life. If at any point it is discovered that the problem has worsened to the point that it could have a negative impact on your lifestyle [frequent pain etc.] or your fertility then there is always the option to surgically treat the problem, which is basically that they remove the offending veins.
Oh, and most importantly... You're not alone. It sounds like you've got a great confidante in your mother and that's a blessed and wonderful thing. I reccommend that you talk to her more about how you feel, since she's the one who's been drying your tears for the last 15 years and has the most experience therein.
