It is possible that it is a varicocele, that is an enlarged vein in your scrotum.
Have a warm bath or shower and then when your testicles are hanging loose feel both of them all over for any signs of swelling, lumps, shape, weight or sensitivity.
Then feel at the top of your scrotum and cough and see if you feel anything move down.
What you describe sounds like a hernia which can have a sort of dragging feeling in your scrotum and leg.

AndyI had a radiology varicocele procedure done two days ago...should i be feeling pain right now?

I have helped with the surgical procedure during urology rotation, but in my limited radiology experience have yet to see a varicocele embolization. I have seen other types of radiological embolizations, though, and they seem to be the route to go.

I do know from the text books that recovery is about 24 hours. I don't see a lot of information on side effects, so I suspect that the doctor said this so you would not be upset if a problem did occur. (They sometimes do that, so you can be even happier when everything goes good)

I am sure that they would have given you post-care instructions, and what to do if a problem arose. If they gave you a phone number for the radiology nurses (haven't met a grumpy one yet!) give them a call and ask. They will be glad to hear you are doing so well.
