Lie down, if disappears it's most likely varicocele ( just like varicose veins collapse in legs).Definitely it is not a case testicular cancer wherein the testis itself (the ball) should be STONY hard. Most likely, it is the epidydemis of the testis ( the root of the testis), which is normal.The presence of a varicocoele should make the left testis bigger and globular in shape. The left testis, though, is lower compared to the right.Does a varicocele lead to testicular cancer?

noProbably not, but it can mess up a man's life in many cases. Best to get the doctor to check it out. If doctor makes referral to a urogenital specialist, keep that appointment.
